about.
Hi, I’m maree micheaux.
I am a Latinx witch, or ‘bruja’, based on the Gadigal land of Sydney, Australia. I use Astrology, Tarot, and Oracle cards – as well as an array of magikal tools – as part of my brujeria practice to help inspire and empower my clients with self-awareness, self-love, and soul purpose alignment.
With over 30 years of training and experience in astrology, oracle and tarot, together with the tools of my bruja ancestry, I provide soul based wisdom and empowerment for your life journey
The ongoing inspiration, joy, and comfort that astrology, tarot and oracle has brought both me and my clients is why I love what I do. I have come to know them as powerful tools for guidance, inspiration, and connecting to the Sacred within and around us and they are at the foundation of my brujeria practice as a healer, guide, and diviner.
I have a unique approach to my work that integrates astrology with tarot and oracle, as well as coaching techniques and brujeria. My intuition guides all of my sessions and allows me to feel into areas that are important for my clients at any life stage.
- I use astrology and oracle and tarot cards to provide powerful insights into who you are, your strengths and challenges, soul purpose, and where you are at in life.
- I incorporate vision-led coaching and brujeria to help empower my clients with manifestation techniques to support them in co-creating their best lives - aligned with their authenticity and life purpose.
I love that you are here and getting to know me and my services better. If they call you, I look forward to meeting you wherever you are in your life journey so we can uncover your unique magic and path within.
MM x

My Approach
A personalised brujeria practice in which I use tools including astrology, tarot, oracle, and bruja techniques (altars, petitions, affirmations, meditations), as well as vision-led coaching, to help inspire and empower women through self-knowledge, self-acceptance, and self-love so that they can live their best lives with bold authenticity, reclaimed sovereignty, and in alignment with their soul purpose.
What do I mean by “Brujeria”?
My Brujeria is a sacred, spiritual and mystical practice with roots in my Latin American, female lineage and belief systems, which is an eclectic mix of Basque witchcraft, the rituals, Angels and saint veneration of Roman Catholicism, and Indigenous American animism.
My maternal grandmother’s family came from Vichuquen, a village in Southern Chile known as “El pueblo de las Brujas” (the village of the Witches). My great grandmother, Julia, who was of Basque origin, was the healer of her nearby hamlet, which sat between the lake of Vichuquen and the sea. She was known as a seer and a healer who, with her deep faith yet practical and feminist approach, helped women with her herbal medicine and spell work. Her approach, where the mystical and spiritual meet the practical, is one I follow in my own modern practice.
Julia was referred to as a Bruja, the Spanish word for witch. This word had – and continues to have – derogatory connotations and was often used for an old woman who was feared because she was powerful and unconventional in her magical beliefs and practices. In my family we have reclaimed this word and use it to describe a woman who is magical, intuitive and wise, connected to nature and the elements, who communicates with spirit (angels, saints and ancestors), and who is dedicated to serve others with her sacred knowledge and gifts.
